Privacy Policy

ParallelAxiom LLC ("we", "us") operates this website, the StrikeViews app, and the free Options Owl community feed (with full legal text at strikeviews.com/privacy, which governs in case of conflict). Local-first by default

StrikeViews is designed to keep your trade data on your device: trades, watchlists, profiles, and alert/bracket settings are stored locally in an encrypted vault, and API keys you supply (BYOK — market data, LLM) live in the OS secure storage (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain), never in our logs. Our servers never see device→provider requests (ticker quotes, consent-gated AI context).

What we collect

• Account data: nickname, optional email (email sign-in / opt-in notifications), device/session identifiers; OAuth identifier and email if you sign in with Google or Apple. Optional profile fields: bio, avatar, display language, notification preference.
• Content you post: twits, replies, likes, follows, view counts — public by design on a social feed.
• Media you upload: images/GIFs attached to a twit, stored to display them.
• Authentication data: password hashes (never plaintext), reset tokens and expiry, session tokens.
• Support & feedback: messages plus any optional category/name/email you provide.
• Anonymous visitor analytics: privacy-preserving visit counts (hashed browser+IP key, no stored IP or identifier), aggregated over 24h/7d/30d windows. Never sold.
• What we do NOT collect: no advertising tracking, no third-party analytics, no crash-report SDK, no location, no contacts/calendar/SMS, no audio recording (voice dictation transcribes on-device).

How we use it & legal basis (GDPR)

• Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): account, content, authentication, and support data — to run the feed, sign-in, and moderation you request.
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): security/abuse prevention and anonymous analytics, with minimal collection.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): email notifications (opt-in), optional analytics cookies, and consent-gated AI/market requests. Withdraw anytime (e.g. toggle notifications off).
• Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): records the law requires us to keep.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data and never share it for advertising. Processors, only as needed to operate the Service: Cloudflare (hosting, D1 database, R2 media); Resend (opt-in notification, reset, and feedback-reply emails); Google/Apple (only if you use that sign-in); market/news providers (requested ticker only); your configured LLM provider (only consent-gated context, device→provider); Dropbox (only encrypted backups you initiate — unreadable without your passphrase).

Retention

Account and content data live while your account is active. Requesting deletion hides your profile and posts immediately and starts a 14-day reactivation window (signing back in restores everything); afterwards the account is permanently removed while published twits stay readable under “Deleted user”, and your email becomes reusable. Reset tokens expire shortly after issue; logs and encrypted backups rotate within approximately 30–90 days. Anonymous aggregates are not linkable to you. Legal-required records are kept only as required.

Your rights (incl. GDPR) & deletion

Access, correct, export, delete, object to, or restrict processing of your data; withdraw consent anytime. Delete in the Options Owl app (Settings → Delete account), on the website (Settings → Data → Delete account), or via our web deletion page strikeviews.com/delete-account — or email privacy@strikeviews.com. We respond within one month. If you believe our processing infringes data-protection law, you may complain to your supervisory authority (EEA: EDPB members; UK: ICO) as well as to us.

International transfers

Hosting may be in the United States. EEA/UK data transferred to the US is safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses (with the UK Addendum where applicable) plus technical measures (HTTPS, hashed passwords, vault-kept keys). Request a copy of the safeguards at privacy@strikeviews.com.

Children

The Service is 18+ and not directed to children; we do not knowingly collect children's data. Contact us and we will delete any such data.

Google Play Data Safety (Options Owl, com.optionsowl.app)

Mirrors the Play Console form (this policy governs on conflict). Collected via the app: nickname, email (only with email sign-in / opt-in notifications), user IDs (device/session/OAuth), attached photos/videos only, app activity (posts, replies, likes, follows). NOT collected: location, financial-account data (trades stay on-device unless published as a twit), health, contacts, calendar, SMS/call logs, audio. Shared only as listed above, encrypted in transit, never sold, never for ads. Purposes: functionality, account management, published content, security/moderation, opt-in communications. Controls: access/correct/export/delete anytime; account deletion removes your identity while published twits stay under “Deleted user”.

Security

HTTPS everywhere; passwords hashed, never plaintext; API keys in OS secure storage, never logged. Deletion removes posts, replies, likes, follows, attachments, and profile; backups rotate out.
